Extraction, the action thriller film had a huge expectation towards its release as it featured the popular superhero actor Chris Hemsworth in the lead role. The movie also had actors like Rudhraksh Jaiswal, Randeep Hooda, Golshifteh Farahani, Pankaj Tripathi, Priyanshu Painyuli and David Harbour in important roles as well. Directed by Sam Hargrave and screenplay written by Joe Russo, Extraction was based on the comic Ciudad by Ande Parks, Joe Russo, Anthony Russo, Fernando Leon Gonzalez, and Eric Skillman.

The plot of Extraction follows a hardened mercenary whose mission becomes a soul-searching race to survive when he's sent into Bangladesh to rescue a drug lord's kidnapped son. The film was released on the popular OTT platform Netflix on April 24th and the movie received mixed reviews from critics.
