Known as one of the finest directors in Kollywood, Gautham Menon has now become synonymous for his movies being delayed. After facing a number of obstacles, things seem to be finally falling into place for this maverick director. His much awaited Enai Noki Paayum Thota, which has Dhanush and Megha Akash in the lead, went on floors in 2016. After some delay or the other, the movie got completed in 2018. However, after announcing one release date or the other, the movie is yet to see the day of light. In a recent students event, where he was a Guest of Honour, Gautham Menon interacted with the students and gave out the new release date of ENPT, when a student asked him about it.
After his speech at the MediaCon '19, organised by the Loyola Viscom department, Gautham Menon interacted with the students and answered their various questions. As expected, one of the students asked about ENPT and Gautham Menon replied that he too was waiting for the movie. He also added that the movie would be hitting the screens on November 15. This was met with a raucous response from the gathered students. There were further questions about his other works as well as about aspiring filmmakers and what advice he could give them.
To one student's question of why GVM has a shot of women's feet in his movies and whether it was his way of following Hollywood filmmaker Quentin Tarantino's similar shots, Gautham gave a strong reply. He mentioned that he was not a big fan of Quentin Tarantino's movies and that he has shots of women's feet because he likes them. He added that all women are beautiful as are their feet and that was the sole reason for having them in his movies. Dhanush has a strong schedule of releases lined up for him with Asuran in October, ENPT in November and Pattas in December. Get set folks...
