Earlier today (April 10), the title of Dulquer Salmaan's upcoming film with Rashmika Mandanna and Mrunal Thakur was unveiled and here are the details about it. The film has been titled Sita Ramam and it will be a periodic epic love story set in 1964. The title was revealed through a short promo teaser that gives us a brief glimpse of the three central characters of the film. Dulquer Salmaan will be seen playing the role of Lieutenant Ram, while Mrunal Thakur plays Sita. Rashmika Mandanna will be essaying the character of Afreen who will act as the bridge between Ram and Sita, helping with their love.
The teaser looks heartwarming, showing a good level of promise. Apart from DQ, Mrunal, and Rashmika, Sita Ramam also stars Sumanth in a pivotal role. The title of the film was unveiled today, marking the special occasion of Ram Navami. This period romantic drama is directed by Hanu Raghavapudi who is known for directing films like Andala Rakshasi, LIE, and Padi Padi Leche Manasu. Sita Ramam is produced by Swapna Cinema and presented by Vyjayanthi Movies, the makers of Keerthy Suresh's Mahanati. The film has music composed by Vishal Chandrasekhar and he does finely impressive work with the title reveal teaser.
PS Vinod has cranked the camera for this one which has art direction by Vaishnavi Reddy and Faisal Ali Khan. The shooting of Sita Ramam has been completed and the post-production works are happening in full swing. While the film has been originally shot in Telugu, it will have a dubbed release in Tamil and Malayalam. However, the title remains the same for all three versions. Dulquer Salmaan was last seen in the romantic drama, Hey Sinamika which marked the directorial debut of dance choreographer Brindha.
