Tamil Nadu on Friday woke up to the heartbreaking news of reputed cinematographer-turned-director KV Anand passing away after a heart attack due to COVID-19 complications. Family members of KV Anand were able to see him for one final time and his mortal remains were brought to his house in Adyar after he breathed his last at the MIOT Hospital in Chennai. As celebrities and personalities from the Tamil film industry and various walks of life continue to mourn the demise of KV Anand, actor Silambarasan TR on Friday penned a heartfelt emotional condolence message remembering the acclaimed cinematographer-turned-director.
Taking to his Twitter page, Simbu in a detailed statement wrote, "The news of continuous deaths has left me in shock. Although the time of a person's death cannot be predicted, I'm left sad about how many healthy people with whom we are in constant touch on a daily basis are leaving us all suddenly. I was supposed to act in Ko, which he directed, but it didn't work out at the time due to a few circumstances. We were then planning on doing another film soon with a great story and he maintained regular contact with me on a daily basis where we would discuss the project. The news of his death is numbing to me and I wish it were not to be true." STR further added, "Anand never spoke in a loud harsh manner with anyone and was a bundle of talent, who had the zest to make several more meaningful films. It is unfortunate that he has left us all and his loss is an irreparable one for Tamil cinema. I express my deepest condolences to his family and friends and pray that he rests in the hands of God."
