Theri is one of the biggest blockbusters in Thalapathy Vijay’s film career and it also marked the beginning of the Vijay - Atlee combo. Director Atlee showcased a different dimension of the star inside Vijay and it was enjoyed by the fans. The film also featured Vijay in a cop role after a very long time. Despite not releasing in the Chengalpet region theatres for the first two weeks, the film managed to succeed and collect money at the box office. Today (April 14) marks the fourth year anniversary of the film and marking the special occasion, director Atlee posted an emotional tweet, thanking his anna, Vijay for giving the opportunity.
He also mentioned in his tweet that Theri is his favourite film and it will stay close to his heart forever. Atlee posted, “#Theri is my favorite film and close to my heart all credits goes to @actorvijay Anna without u nothing would have been possible Na , love u Na thanks for giving me the best opportunity and love my Theri team ,thank u @theVcreations Thanu sir”.
Atlee, whose last directorial was Bigil starring Vijay, is currently busy with the scripting of his next film with Bollywood Superstar Shah Rukh Khan. This film is expected to take off once the pandemic situation is resolved. Check out Atlee’s tweet below:
