Dhanush's Maaran will skip the theatrical release and have a direct digital premiere on the Disney Hotstar platform and the fans are eagerly looking forward to watching the movie. Maaran is directed by the young and promising Karthick Naren and has music composed by GV Prakash Kumar. Produced by Sathya Jyothi Films, the film will have Master fame Malavika Mohanan playing the female lead. Maaran will have Dhanush in the role of an investigative journalist. Earlier today (Feb 28), the highly awaited trailer of Maaran was officially unveiled on YouTube and it looks quite promisingly done.
The trailer shows us a glimpse of what the film is going to be about. Karthick Naren who is known for his content-driven films seems to have taken the mass commercial route with Maaran. The trailer starts with the introduction of Maaran (Dhanush), the journalist, showing us a glimpse of his work atmosphere. The trailer later shifts to the romantic portions ft. Malavika Mohanan who plays his colleague. Later, the trailer shifts to its main conflict part. Samuthirakani who plays a politician is the antagonist and the film is going to be his faceoff against Dhanush. After playing a father and son in Velai Illa Pattathaari, the duo have now turned foes with Maaran.
The trailer is packed with a lot of action moments, while the suspense behind the story is maintained. Through this trailer, the makers have officially announced the release date of the movie, as well. Maaran will release on Hotstar on March 11 and we are just 10 days away from witnessing the movie from the comfort of our homes. Maaran will be Dhanush's first release this year and it is going to be interesting to see how the film fares among the masses.
