'Thalapathy' Vijay's latest film, Leo, opened in cinemas worldwide on Thursday, October 19. The mass action drama directed by blockbuster Tamil filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj and featuring music composed by 'Rockstar' Anirudh Ravichander has been one of the most-awaited films in recent times, with celebrations being witnessed across Tamil Nadu. In that light, a video has now gone viral showing a couple getting engaged inside a theatre in Pudukkottai before the Leo FDFS at 9 a.m. by exchanging rings and garlands amidst loud cheers from fans at the screening.
The couple identified as Venkatesh and Manjula have reportedly been fans of Vijay for a long time and were seen in traditional attire during the Leo FDFS. The couple decided to get engaged on the occasion of their favorite star's latest film release to celebrate their love for each other. Congratulatory messages and wishes have been pouring in from all quarters for the couple who got engaged during the release of Leo earlier this morning making it an extra memorable day in their lives as they begin a new journey together up ahead.
Released in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi languages, Leo is the second time Vijay, Lokesh Kanagaraj, and Anirudh Ravichander have collaborated after their box office money-spinner, Master (2021). The film had been carrying a tremendous amount of excitement and buzz right up to its release today, with the early response from critics and fans turning out to be largely positive. Leo has Vijay paired with leading Tamil actress Trisha Krishnan after they previously shared screen space in films Ghilli (2004), Thirupaachi (2005), Aathi (2006), and Kuruvi (2008), with the ensemble cast featuring the likes of Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Mysskin, and Sandy master in negative roles, while Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mansoor Ali Khan, Priya Anand, Mathew Thomas, among others also are seen making appearances.
