Pavitha Lakshmi has become a massive youth sensation across Tamil Nadu, especially after her appearances on Vijay TV's hit cooking reality TV show, Cooku with Comali. Currently, a contestant in the second season of Cooku with Comali season , Pavithra has been a major player on the show and her presence has raised the TRP ratings tenfold. Now, Pavithra has shared a big announcement on her Instagram page in regard to a social campaign that lays emphasis on HIV-AIDS awareness, while adding that her face has been used for the purpose of a mural art at the Indira Nagar railway station wall in Chennai.
Pavithra wrote, "Sharing a photo of the art, Pavithra posted "An outstanding initiative by @asianpaints and @startindia is the kind of thing I always look forward to being a part of. The largest panoramic mural "We are" is an attempt to create awareness about the stigma and misconceptions around AIDS and HIV. Denial of basic privileges and opportunities hampers an individual’s growth in all walks of life. It is not easy being an HIV survivor and have access to basics like the right to education, employment and residence in many parts of the world. Imagine living in such circumstances? Cruel right?"
She continues, "Let’s pledge to treat everyone equally. Let the change start with us.Discrimination and stigmatization against HIV and AIDS survivors is not normal and is definitely not acceptable. The mural is designed by street artist A-Kill (@ad57akill_t3k ) with Delhi-based Khatra (@bykhatra). Located at Indira Nagar Railway Station, this magnificent artwork at Chennai is created in association TANSACS (@tansacs ), Tidel Park (@tidelparkchennai ), and Southern Railways."
On the work front, Pavithra's stint in Cooku with Comali 2 is reaching the crucial phase of elimination, with the upcoming episode later this week expected to be a highly intense one as it features her and fellow contestant Ashwin battling it out to progress to the next phase. In terms of her film commitments, Pavithra, whose previous acting credits include the short film, 3 Scenes of his Love Story, will next be seen in Ullasam in Malayalam, which has Shane Nigam in the lead role.
