Chiyaan Vikram’s Cobra’s first look released a few weeks back and it set the social media on fire, creating high expectations among the fans. The team of Cobra recently went to Russia for the final schedule and a few important scenes were planned to be shot there. In an unfortunate turn of events, the shoot has now been stopped midway at Russia and the team is on their way back to India. This change of plan has happened because of the CoronaVirus outbreak that has shook the entire globe.
The Indian Government has been taking necessary steps to control the virus from spreading and on that, it was decided to restrict people’s travel to various other countries. On that note, the Cobra team have now been asked to be back to India until the situation comes under control. The film’s director Ajay Gnanamuthu took to his official Twitter space to share this news for the fans. He also expressed his disappointment over this, as a filmmaker.
Details about the team’s next plan of action will be revealed very soon. Produced by Lalit Kumar’s Seven Screen Studios, Cobra has music scored by A.R.Rahman and cinematography by newcomer Harish Kannan. The star cast of the film includes former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan, KGF fame Srinidhi Shetty, Mirnalini Ravi, Anandaraj, K.S.Ravikumar, and others. This exciting action thriller is scheduled to hit the screens in May. For now, check out Ajay Gnanamuthu’s tweet below:
