Chiyaan Vikram's Mahaan is set to have a direct premiere on the Amazon Prime Video OTT platform and it will mark Vikram's first ever direct digital release. Mahaan is scheduled to release on February 10, Thursday, and we are just two weeks away from the d-day. The film will have Vikram's son and actor Dhruv Vikram playing the other lead and the real life father - son duo will be appearing together in a movie for the very first time. Karthik Subbaraj, the talented filmmaker behind movies like Pizza, Jigarthanda, Iraivi, and Petta, is at the helm for this action entertainer which features an ensemble star cast.

Simran and Vani Bhojan play the female leads and both the actors are expected to add a fresh flavour to the film. Bobby Simha, who has been a regular in Karthik Subbaraj's films, will be seen playing a crucial role in Mahaan and having said that, his character look poster was unveiled by the makers this morning (January 27). Bobby Simha will be seen essaying the character of Sathyavan and he is touted to play a character with grey shades. The poster looks intriguing as Simha's aged makeover grabs our attention instantly and it looks like this one will stand out from the characters he has played before.

Produced by SS Lalit Kumar under the banner of 7 Screen Studios, the film has Sananth, Deepak Paramesh, and Muthukumar playing supporting roles. With music by Santhosh Narayanan and cinematography by Shreyas Krishna, the teaser, trailer and other promotional materials of Mahaan are expected to be out in the coming days.

Mahaan will follow the story of a man (Vikram) whose family leaves him when he strays away from the path of ideological living in his search for personal freedom. Later in his life, he realises missing the presence of his son. Having become a billionaire after so many years did Vikram manage to reunite with his son, Dada (Dhruv) is what Mahaan is going to be about.
