National Award-winning actor 'Chiyaan' Vikram and his son Dhruv will be appearing together on the big screen for the first time ever in the upcoming Mahaan directed by blockbuster director Karthik Subbaraj. Produced under SS Lalit Kumar’s 7 Screen Studios banner, the upcoming film is touted to be an intense gangster action drama and will feature Karthik Subbaraj’s frequent collaborator and composer Santhosh Narayanan, who has been on a roll of late with his work on films like Karnan, Jagame Thandhiram and Sarpatta Parambarai, fetching him praises from all corners.
With production on Mahaan already completed, promotions kicked off sometime back, with 7 Screen Studios releasing special poster reel promos for Vikram and Dhruv’s characters in the film. While Vikram's poster reel featured the National Award-winning actor riding a motorcycle in the midst of traditional Tamil Nadu street performers, Dhruv’s promo had the Adithya Varma sensation performing what appeared to be a Buddhist ritual amidst North East backdrop. In that light, the makers took to social media on Monday to drop a new surprise announcement informing fans about the first single track from the film. It has been officially announced the Mahaan first single track titled 'Soorayaatam' will be released on September 22, with the timing of the song’s launch expected to be revealed on the day it comes out.
