Ponniyin Selvan: 2 is set for Pan-Indian release in five languages on April 28. The first part of the film was released last year in October and was one of the blockbuster hits of last year. It was the magnum Opus of director Mani Ratnam with music composed by A.R. Rahman. The film revolves around the Chola Empire’s battle with thorn and the conspiracies of the Pandyans. The film also has a huge star cast that included Vikram as Aditha Karikalan, Jayam Ravi aa Arulmozhi Varman, Karthi as Vallavarayan Vandhiyadevan, Trisha as Kundhavai, Aishwarya Rai and Nandini, Aishwarya Lekshmi as Poonguzhali and Sobhita Shulipala as Vanathi, who are on tour promoting the film across major cities in India.
