Due to the current outbreak of the corona virus, the entire nation is on a lockdown and this situation is expected to continue for the next two to three weeks. People who have travelled back to Chennai from abroad (in the past one month) and people who have maintained contact with them have been strictly asked to stay in quarantine. If those people develop any symptoms of Corona, they have been asked to test for Corona. Similarly, the Greater Chennai Corporation has also appointed volunteers and government officials to inspect houses, door to door on a daily basis to track the cases of fever or other symptoms.
On that note, the officials are said to have visited Thalapathy Vijay’s house yesterday (March 29) to check about his travel history. It was checked if Vijay had travelled to any foreign country in the past one month and similarly, the same was reportedly checked for his family as well. This inspection happened as a precautionary measure and the officials have apparently requested Vijay and his family to stay indoors, as instructed by the Government.
On the work front, Vijay is awaiting the release of his next, Master, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. This action entertainer, which was initially supposed to release on April 9, has now been postponed to a later date due to the Corona pandemic. Vijay will be seen locking horns against Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi in Master and the film has got high expectations among the fans and ardent film buffs.
