Popular American actor and writer Nicholas Brendon, best known for playing Xander Harris in the smash hit supernatural television series, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, has been arrested for using a false identity to allegedly try and buy drugs. The 50-year-old was levelled with charges of "prescription fraud of a controlled substance and for refusing to identify himself when stopped for an infraction" in Indiana. TMZ has reported that Brendon, who was driving in an irregular fashion, was pulled over by the police and found to be sweating profusely. Furthermore, it has been reported that the actor seemed to be "nervous due to a visibly racing pulse on his neck and shaking hands".
During interrogation, the police had asked Nicholas Brendon for his identification, with the actor extending to the officials the California ID of his twin brother, Kelton Schultz. The report claimed that the police discovered a "small plastic bag that contained crystal/powder residue". In addition, pills and prescriptions were found in his car, which had been under the name of "Nicholas Bender", including a prescription for amphetamine salts. The actor also admitted to officers that he had not been taking medication that was prescribed to him.
