Earlier this morning (June 18), the police officials were informed by an unidentified caller that a bomb had been planted at Superstar Rajinikanth’s residence in Poes Garden. Upon hearing the news, the police and bomb squad officials arrived at the Kabali actor’s house and executed the search operation. However, nothing threatening was found by the officials and it was later cleared that it was a hoax call. This news has created a huge buzz on social media among the fans. According to reports, efforts are on to trace the unidentified caller who was behind this fake bomb threat.

We will get more updates in the coming days. Currently, Rajinikanth is at his residence, spending time with his family in this lockdown period. On the work front, Superstar would next be seen in Annaatthe, a rural emotional action entertainer, directed by Viswasam fame Siva and produced by Sun Pictures. Annaatthe features an ensemble star cast that includes Khushbu Sundar, Meena, Nayanthara, Keerthy Suresh, Prakash Raj, Soori, Sathish, and others.

The film is tentatively scheduled to release for next year’s Pongal, but the plans are subject to change owing to the pandemic situation. As soon as the lockdown gets uplifted and the situation becomes normal, Rajinikanth would resume shooting for Annaatthe.
