Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson stars in the action-adventure Black Adam. The first-ever feature film to explore the story of the DC Super Hero comes to the big screen under the direction of Jaume Collet-Serra. Nearly 5,000 years after he was bestowed with the almighty powers of the ancient gods and imprisoned just as quickly. When Black Adam is freed from his earthly tomb, he is more than ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world.
The film is produced by Beau Flynn, Dwayne Johnson, Hiram Garcia and Dany Garcia, with Richard Brener, Walter Hamada, Dave Neustadter, Chris Pan, Eric McLeod, Geoff Johns, and Scott Sheldon. Dwayne Johnson stars alongside Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Fate, Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Sarah Shahi as Adrianna, Marwan Kenzari as Ishmael, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, and Bodhi Sabongui as Amon. Black Adam is scheduled to release theatrically on 21 October 2022.
The makers of the film recently dropped an action-packed teaser trailer at the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con. The 1 minute 13 seconds long teaser trailer features Johnson wielding the powers of the Gods as he steps into the role of Shazam's violent nemesis. We see Black Adam facing off against members of the Justice Society, as well as teasing the two paths laid out before him. Either he is the destroyer of the world or he will be its savior. It will be interesting to see which one he chooses and his journey toward that path. We also get a peak at his brute strength and relentlessness, making it clear that he will truly be a force to be reckoned with as he goes head-to-head with the members of the Justice Society.
This is the first time ever we get to see this character being portrayed on the big screen and DC fanatics cannot wait to see their favorite antihero played by one of the most famous wrestlers in the world on the big screen as the one and only Black Adam.
