‘Thalapathy’ Vijay’s upcoming film, Bigil, is all set to take a grand opening this Diwali and has generated tremendous expectations among fans as well as those in the trade. Directed by Atlee under the AGS Entertainment banner, the action sports drama features chartbuster music by A. R Rahman with the ‘Singappenney’ and ‘Verithanam’ tracks turning out to be massive hits. Earlier today, it was revealed that the censor formalities for the film have been completed with Bigil being awarded a ‘U/A’ certificate and the runtime standing at 2 hours and 58 minutes. Now, the complete censor report for the film is out and shows 5 cuts in total, which includes three audio mutes and a major spoiler in the form of Vijay’s father character in the film, Rayappan, getting stabbed during the course of the narrative. In the report, we see the visual stabbing being removed along with the bloodstains being reduced for the Rayappan character while puking out and also includes the defocusing of the stabbing of another character named Alex.
The revelations by the Censor Board has left quite a lot of fans shocked and surprised considering major plot points have been revealed. It now remains to be seen how the makers have shot the said sequences as many await a ripper of an action entertainer. As known already, Vijay is playing dual roles as Rayappan, the father character and Michael alias. Bigil, the son character, which have left everyone quite excited.
