In what has left many in shock, Bhojpuri actress Akanksha Dubey was found dead in her hotel room in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, on Sunday, March 26, as per news agency IANS. She was 25. According to reports, the actress died allegedly by suicide and more details about her death are still awaited, with an investigation already underway by the police. Akanksha's new song 'Ye Aara Kabhi Hara Nahi Hai' sung by Pawan Singh and Shilpi Raj to lyrics penned by Jahid Akhtar and Imamuddin and composed by Priyanshu Singh was released at 7.45 a.m. on Sunday and it is unknown at this point whether she died before or after it came out.
Earlier on Saturday, Akanksha had posted a dance video on Instagram in which she's seen wearing a black outfit and showing off some belly dance moves, while grooving to a Bhojpuri song. The video shows her looking at a mirror and recording herself. The news of Akanksha's sudden demise has come as a huge shock to Bhojpuri cinema fans and celebrities, with many expressing their condolences on social media. Among the stars, Rani Chatterjee posted a heartfelt tribute on Instagram with Akanksha's picture and wrote, "Can’t believe seeing this news. What should I write, it is not right to end your life like this. May your soul find peace wherever it is, which it could not find in this world, it could find in heaven. It is hurting a lot! Om Shanti! #rip #aakanshadubey.".
According to reports, Akanksha is said to have been in a relationship with actor Samar Singh. The actress had also posted a photo with him in Valentine's Day last month. ETimes has reported that the popular actress had recently wrapped up shooting for her upcoming project, Mitti, which also stars Yash Kumar and Raksha Gupta in the lead roles and has been directed by Chandan Upadhyay under the joint production of Arvind Prasad and Prem Shanker.
