Ayyappanum Koshiyum is one of the recently acclaimed Malayalam films that managed to become a blockbuster at the box office, as well. The film starred Prithviraj Sukumaran and Biju Menon in the lead roles. The film was raved b y the critics and audience for its gripping screenplay, strong writing and characterisation, apart from top class performances from the lead actors. The latest news coming from Mollywood circle is that the film’s director Sachy has been admitted in a hospital and his health is said to be in a critical condition.

According to reports, the director had a hip replacement surgery recently and the after effects of the surgery resulted in him suffering a cardiac arrest. An official medical report from the hospital states that Sachy's CT Brain scan is suggestive of a brain damage. Better clarity on his health developments will be known in the next 48 - 72 hours. Well, let us hope that he recovers soon and give us a good news. The fans have been taken aback after hearing this news.

Apart from Ayyappanum Koshiyum, Sachy has also directed the 2015 romantic thriller, Anarkali that starred the same lead heroes (Prithviraj and Biju Menon). Sachy has also penned the story for films like Run Baby Run, Ramaleela, and the recent hit, Driving Licence. Up next, he would work as the script writer for Prithviraj’s next film, directed by debutant Jayan Nambiar.
