Priya Bhavani Shankar must be elated with the positive reviews that have been pouring in for her latest release, Oh Mana Penne, which is out on the Disney Hotstar OTT platform today (October 22). Priya's next release in Tamil will be Hostel in which she will be seen romancing the young and promising Ashok Selvan in this film. Hostel was recently censored with a U/A certificate by the CBFC and it is getting ready to hit the screens very soon. Meanwhile, the makers have now released the first single song from the movie and this song is called 'Hostel Gaana', sung by Thenisai Thendral Deva.
Gaana and Deva are inseparable and when we have the legendary musician singing a gaana track, the final outcome is sure to be enjoyable and 'Hostel Gaana' strikes well on that aspect. Deva's energetic rendition and the peppy beats make 'Hostel Gaana', a likeable track and it is sure to appeal well among the masses. 'Hostel Gaana' is composed by Bobo Shashi. The rest of the songs and trailer are expected to release in the coming days. Hostel is the official Tamil remake of the Malayalam comedy film, Adi Kapyare Kootamani, which starred Dhyan Sreenivasan, and Namitha Pramod in the lead roles.
The film is directed by Sumanth Radhakrishnan who had earlier made Sadhuram 2. Praveen Kumar has handled the cinematography, while Ragul has edited the film. Produced by R Ravindran under the banner of Trident Arts, the features an ensemble star cast that includes the likes of Ashok Selvan, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Sathish, Nassar, Mundasupatti Ramadoss, KPY Yogi, Krrish, and others. The teaser of the film was released a few months before and it opened to a fairly positive response from the audience. The teaser had a fun vibe to it, catering to the youth audience.
