Arya has teamed up with director Muthaiya of Komban and Viruman fame for a new film which was officially launched with a formal pooja this morning (October 9) in Chennai. This new project is tentatively called Arya 34 and it will be a rural mass action entertainer with strong family emotions. Director Muthaiya is known for his commercial potboilers that appeal well to family audiences and it is going to be interesting to see what he has in store for the audience with the Arya starrer. This is the first time Arya and director Muthaiya are collaborating together and this refreshing combo has already garnered attention on social media.
This new film will be bankrolled by Zee Studios in association with Drumsticks Productions, the banner that produced the Arun Vijay starrer Yaanai. Siddhi Idnani who made a solid debut in Tamil cinema with the recently released blockbuster, Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu, has been roped in to play the female lead and this will be her third outing in Tamil cinema, after VTK and Harish Kalyan's Nooru Kodi Vaanavil. GV Prakash will be scoring music for this untitled film and the successful Komban duo is back again. R Velraj will be taking care of the cinematography, while Anl Arasu will be heading the stunt choreography.
The rest of the cast is yet to be officially announced and further details are awaited. The pooja event took place this morning in Chennai and the main cast and crew were in attendance for the same. The shoot has also commenced today and the team is planning to release the film during the summer of next year. Arya was last seen in Captain which opened to mixed to negative reviews from the critics and general audience and he would be looking forward to bouncing back in data-style with Arya 34.
