Actor Arun Vijay has kicked off his 2020 with the gangster action drama, Mafia: Chapter 1, alongside Prasanna and Priya Bhavani Shankar under Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru fame Karthick Naren's direction. With Mafia now out in theatres, Arun Vijay will next be seen in a number of films among which include Moodar Koodam director Naveen’s Agni Siragugal alongside Vijay Antony, Boxer opposite Ritika Singh, Sinam with Wagah fame director GNR Kumaravelan and another film with Arivazhagan after their Kuttram 23 in 2017.
Among his upcoming films, Arun Vijay's Sinam has now entered its final schedule with the team erecting a mammoth set of a slum built at Rs. 45 lakhs in Padappai. The film will see Arun Vijay playing the role of a police officer for the second time in his career after Kuttram 23 and this time opposite Pallak Lalwani under R. Vijaykumar’s Movie Slides Private Limited banner. Furthermore, the film's technical team features names like cinematographer S. Gopinath of Thadam fame, 'Stunt' Silva for the action, art direction by Michael, music by Shabir and lyrics penned by Madhan Karky.
Sharing the news, director GNR Kumaravelan says, "This action sequence will be one of the major highlights in Sinam for it is placed during a crucial situation. While discussing this scene, we felt that it’s impossible to shoot them in real locations and hence, decided to go for the set works. I was a little doubtful if producer Vijaykumar sir would give a nod to our decisions. In contrast, we were surprised that he came forward as he asserted that he is looking forward to a top-notch output and doesn’t want to compromise on that. Art director Michael and his team have come up with such an incredibly outstanding job that it looks like an original location. Apart from this magnificent factor, the action sequence choreographed by Silva Master and Arun Vijay sir’s trademark data-style will escalate the whole episode."
