Dhanush is one of the top actors who has delivered many stunning performances and one of his hit films Maryan marked its 10 years of theatrical release yesterday. The film directed by Bharat Bala and featured the popular actor sharing screen space with Parvathy Thiruvothu. The cast and crew surprised fans with a special live conversation hosted by Oscar-winning music composer A.R. Rahman. The conversation went on for half an hour with Dhanush, director Bharat Bala, the music composer, and Parvathy Thiruvothu in attendance. Singer Vijay Prakash also joined in the end.
During the conversation, The cast and crew of Maryan spoke about their experiences working on the film and how they look back at it now, after a decade. When Dhanush appeared on screen, director Bharat Bala was first surprised by the new look of the actor. The director also asked if he was ready for more torture jokingly, and Captain Miller actor replied that he was always ready. The director then made a request to him saying, "Do a romantic film like that again, sir. Do a love story, sir; just get into it and show your passion". A.R. Rahman then jokingly replied to the director, saying, "What have you been doing there that you're in a love mood?" The Maryan director said he was only reminded of it after seeing Dhanush. The actor said, "next-gen boys can do love stories, sir. Now I am 40." As the filmmaker said Love was Omnipresent, He replied, "Now, my travel is with kids' love and mother's love". The director then said, "In the 50s, you will think that love is itself nice."
Maryan's team also spoke about the late lyricist Vaali, and the actress Parvathy Thiruvothu joined them. Director Bharat Bala shared that the phone conversation scene in the movie between the lead pair was one of his favourites. Actor Dhanush has an exciting line of films, including Captain Miller, D50, which he is also directing, and Tere Ishk Mein.
