The young and talented Aparna Balamurali impressed one and all with her solid performance as Bommi in Suriya's acclaimed blockbuster hit film, Soorarai Pottru, directed by Sudha Kongara. Last night (November 11), Aparna Balamurali officially announced her next film and the development has excited the fans. Aparna Balamurali will play the female lead in the upcoming Malayalam film, Padmini and it is touted to have an important place in the talented actress' filmography. Kunchacko Boban plays the male lead in this film and the star actor sounded highly kicked about the project.

Padmini is directed by Senna Hegde whose latest release, Thinkalazhcha Nishchayam (Malayalam) opened to highly positive reviews from the audience. Thinkalazhcha Nishchayam, which is currently streaming on the Sony Liv platform, was widely noted for its humour. The story of Padmini is penned by Deepu Pradeep who is known for his work in Vineeth Sreenivasan's Kunjiramayanam. Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru fame Jakes Bejoy will score the music for this film which has cinematography by Sreeraj Raveendran.
Kunchacko Boban, who was last seen in Nizhal (co-starring Nayanthara), will next be seen playing the lead in Bheemante Vazhi, a comedy entertainer that is scheduled to release in theatres on December 3. Boban also has several other exciting projects in his lineup including Ottu, Pada, Nna, Thaan Case Kodu, Enthada Saji, Aaram Pathiraa, Grrr, Neela Velicham, Ariyippu, and Mariyam Tailors.
