India is currently reeling with the ongoing second COVID-19 wave, which is leaving thousands testing positive for the illness everyday, with many succumbing to the disease. Now, leading actress Andrea Jeremiah, last seen in 'Thalapathy' Vijay's Master, has revealed on social media that she had tested positive for COVID-19 last week and is currently under home quarantine. Sharing a video of herself playing the piano and singing her own rendition of Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell's 1967 song 'If This World Were Mine', Andrea wrote a detailed note informing fans on how she's taken a break from social media after she fell sick and did not know what to post during the present global crisis.
Taking to Instagram, Andrea said, "Dear all, Last week I tested positive for Covid-19. I’m grateful to all of my friends & family members who reached out and took care of me. Im still under home quarantine, but recovering well. Took a break from social media, partly because I was sick and partly because I really didn’t know what to post at a time like this, when our country is going thru it’s worst Covid crisis.. and as always, when I don’t know what to say, I sing from my heart and hope that says it all." She ended her note by sharing words of motivation writing, "'Sometimes, it takes a moment.To find eternity, in a heartbeat...And sometimes, it takes a lifetime...To find your way back home...' Andrea, who played an important role in Vijay's Master, will be looking to make a quick recovery and bounce back on a strong note as she has a number of promising projects lined up. Playing the role of Vijay's friend in Master, her appearance was not restricted to a general role as Andrea was given plenty of space and scope to leave a big impression, including trying her hand at some action as was seen in the film’s climax action sequence. Master turned out to be a box office blockbuster and the actress will be looking forward to her upcoming projects that include Sundar. C's much-awaited Aranmanai 3, followed by acclaimed director Mysskin's Pisasu 2.
