Iconic Hindi actor Amitabh Bachchan is known to be an active social media user and often interacts with fans on Twitter. The Bollywood actor was one of the first big names in the Indian entertainment industry to react after Elon Musk, CEO of Twitter, removed the 'blue ticks' from the verified accounts of celebrities. According to reports, more than 4 lakh Twitter users lost their blue ticks among whom also included big names like Bill Gates, Hillary Clinton, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Shah Rukh Khan, Virat Kohli, to name a notable few. With social media abuzz over the blue tick issue, Amitabh Bachchan earlier today took to his Twitter and informed the micro-blogging site that he has made the payment to get back the feature on his profile.
Asking Twitter and Elon Musk to put back the Twitter blue check mark on his page once again, Amitabh Bachchan wrote in desi data-style, "Ae Twitter bhaiya! Sun rahe hain? Ab to paise bhi bhar diye hain hum ... to o jo neel kamal (tick) hot rahe na, hmar naam ke aage, o wapas lagai de bhaiya, take log jaan jaye ki hum hi hain- Amitabh Bachchan .. hath to jod liye rahe hum! Ab ka, godwa jode padi ka??" Upon translation, the tweet means, "Hey Twitter! Are you listening? I have now paid the money too... so put back that blue tick so that people will know that it's me - Amitabh Bachchan .. I have already my folded hands, do I have to join my feet too??" Amitabh Bachchan's latest tweet has taken social media by storm, with many celebrities and fans expressing their views in agreement to the legendary actor's statement regarding the Twitter blue check mark. Below is Big B's tweet:
