Congratulations are in order for Allu Arjun as he has been announced as the first-ever actor in Telugu cinema history to win the Best Actor award at the 69th National Film Awards on Thursday, August 24. The news of the Telugu superstar winning the prestigious honor for his power-packed performance in Pushpa: The Rise - Part 1 (2021) directed by Sukumar under producers Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar's Mythri Movie Makers banner in association with Muttamsetty Media was met with wild celebrations shortly after the announcement was made. With Allu Arjun winning the National Award for Best Actor, the leading Telugu actor was congratulated by Pushpa's director Sukumar and producers Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar, with a video of their celebrations along with the film's team now officially released by Mythri Movie Makers on social media.
In the video, we see Allu Arjun in the presence of his father and iconic Telugu producer-distributor Allu Aravind and his wife Sneha Reddy hugging Pushpa director Sukumar and sharing a heartfelt moment with the blockbuster Telugu filmmaker, and the team around them giving the actor a standing ovation and a big round of applause for his big achievement at the 69th National Film Awards. The video also shows Allu Arjun and Pushpa producers Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar too sharing hugs amidst the ambiance of grand celebrations.
With Allu Arjun winning the Best Actor award at the 69th National Film Awards, he will no doubt be on cloud nine ahead of his Pushpa 2: The Rule currently under production. The sequel to Pushpa: The Rise - Part 1 will see the leading Telugu actor reprising his role in the sequel, which features a number of the original film's cast members reprising their roles among whom include Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, Anasuya Bharadwaj and others, with Devi Sri Prasad too set to come out with yet another blockbuster album.
