Allu Arjun's Pushpa: The Rise released in 2021 continues to be one of the most discussed films after turning out to be a raging box office success, with the events in the story also ending in the lead-up to the second installment titled Pushpa: The Rule. Work on the sequel had begun last month with director Sukumar overseeing the test shoots and the team also earlier this week taking part in the promotions of the first film in Russia. Pushpa: The Rule ended with Allu Arjun rising to the top of the ranks and gaining dominance over the red Sandalwood smuggling syndicate, while also facing off with Fahadh Faasil, who is playing the role of SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat, and will serve as the prime antagonist in the sequel.
As fans continue to wait on a word about Pushpa: The Rule, it is now reported across various sections of the media that full-scale production is all set to kick off in a full-fledged manner next week, with the team also planning to release a special glimpse on December 17. It is stated that this glimpse will include footage from the test shoots done last month and is being unveiled as a special treat on the occasion of the first anniversary of Pushpa: The Rise's release. Furthermore, there is also a huge buzz in media reports as well as social media that the team plans to bring Pushpa 2 out in theatres as a summer 2024 release along with a few new additions to the film's star cast.
While Allu Arjun will be stepping up the swag once again as Pushpa Raj, national sensation Rashmika Mandanna too will be reprising her role as Srivalli in Pushpa: The Rule. It is to be noted that the duo took part in the promotions of the first film's release in Russia earlier this week where it opened on 774 screens.
