‘Thala’ Ajith has had a spectacular year so far with his Viswasam turning out to be a massive box office blockbuster. Post the success of the rural family drama film, Ajith’s next was announced to be as Nerkonda Paarvai, an official remake of the smash hit Bollywood film, Pink, and released recently to glowing reviews while also going on to become yet another money-spinner for the superstar. Since then, all eyes are on the actor’s next, which has been tentatively titled, Thala 60, and, will be helmed by director H. Vinoth and produced under Boney Kapoor’s Bayview Projects LLP banner. Meanwhile, there have been rumors doing the rounds across various social networking forums stating Ajith’s next after Thala 60, being called Thala 61, will be a remake of the acclaimed hit Hindi film, Article 15. That said, sources close to us have now revealed that there are no plans for Ajith to act in the remake of Article 15 as being reported by many despite producer Boney Kapoor holding the remake rights for the hit Ayushmann Khurrana starrer.
Article 15 directed by Anubhav Sinha had Ayushmann Khurrana as a police officer with the film's plot inspired by several true life events which include the 2014 Badaun gang rape allegations and 2016 Una flogging incident that went on to shock the entire nation while also shedding light on the Article 15 of the Constitution of India that prohibits discrimination on the grounds of religion, race, caste, sex or place of birth. As of now, all sights are on Thala 60, which as being told by producer Boney Kapoor and director H. Vinoth will be an intense action film that will be enjoyed by family audiences as well. Ajith fans are an exuberant lot these days after the success of Nerkonda Paarvai for which the actor continues to draw praise from all corners for his well-refined performance.
