Ajith Kumar's Valimai is running successfully in the theatres and the film is off to a flying start at the box office. The movie has already collected more than 100 crores and the performance is quite steady rising towards becoming a mega blockbuster. The film was initially released with a runtime of close to 3 hours, but after witnessing mixed reviews from a certain section of the audience, the makers trimmed the film by 14 minutes. The trimmed version was locked at a runtime of 2 hours and 45 minutes and this is the version that is currently playing at the theatres.
Having said that, the trimmed portions are now being released as deleted scenes and the team has now released the second deleted scene on YouTube. This deleted scene features a conversation between ACP Arjun (Ajith Kumar) and Huma Qureshi and the scene is packed with some thought-provoking dialogues about life. According to the film, Arjun gets depromoted to an Inspector and this conversation scene with Huma happens following the de promotion. The scene had some really good dialogues that reflect Ajith's life philosophy, but it didn't lend a big impact to the core premise of the movie. As a result, the scene seems to have been deleted.
Valimai is directed by H Vinoth and has songs composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja and background score is taken care of by Ghibran. Produced by Boney Kapoor under the banner of Bayview Projects LLP, Valimai has cinematography by Nirav Shah and stunt choreography by Dhilip Subbarayan. Popular Telugu actor Kartikeya plays the key antagonist in the film that has Bani, Sumithra, Raj Ayyappa in pivotal roles. With Valimai turning out to be a big success, the successful trio of Ajith Kumar - H Vinoth - Boney Kapoor will be joining hands once again for AK 61 which is expected to go on floors in the next few days.
