Ajith Kumar has released a statement on Monday, March 6, addressed to fans through his PR manager Suresh Chandra regarding the shooting plan for his next big film, the tentatively titled AK 62. The leading Tamil actor has informed that he will first finish shooting his upcoming film being produced by Lyca Productions after which he will kick-off the second leg of his world motorcycling tour. Revealing that the tour will be for a cause, Ajith has termed it as 'Ride for mutual respect'. Suresh Chandra's tweeted, "Mr Ajith Kumar to start 2nd leg of world motorcycling tour post completion of his project with Lyca production n wld like it to be for a cause n term it as #RIDEformutualrespect".
Back in December 2022, Ajith had completed the first leg of his world bike tour by riding across all the states in India. The actor had posted pictures of his bike adventure trip, including a map of the the destinations in his journey. Among the notable places he had covered were Chandigarh, Manali, Sarchu, Leh, Nubra valley, Pangong Tso, Tso Moriri, Kargil, Srinagar, Jammu, Chandigarh, Haridwar, Rishikesh, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. With Ajith revealing his plans for AK 62's shoot and the second leg of his 'Ride for mutual respect' world bike tour, all eyes will now be on when the Tamil cinema superstar's new film will roll into production.
Ajith is fresh off the phenomenal success of Thunivu, which released as a grand Pongal treat, and was the third collaboration for the actor with director H. Vinoth and producer Boney Kapoor after their Nerkonda Paarvai (2019) and Valimai (2022). The mass heist action film was released in Tamil Nadu by Red Giant Movies, while the overseas distribution was done by Lyca Productions. AK 62 is the first time Ajith and Lyca Productions are joining hands and there is tremendous excitement surrounding the film ever since it was first announced in March 2022.
