The entire nation is on a lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic and the situation is getting severe with every passing day. To fight the situation financially, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi requested the citizens to donate money and on that note, we saw many actors lending their helping hands. Ajith Kumar, who was maintaining silence all this while, has come up with a generous donation of Rs 50 lakhs for the PM - CARES relief fund. At the same time, Ajith has also donated an amount of Rs 50 lakhs for the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s relief fund.
Put together, the star actor has given Rs. 1 crore to the State and Central governments to fight the pandemic. Also, Tamil actors have been donating money to the daily wage workers in Tamil cinema, to help them in this crisis situation. As a noble gesture, Ajith has donated an amount of Rs 25 lakhs to the FEFSI Union workers. This makes his overall contribution to relief efforts, come up to Rs. 1.25 Crores.
Having a huge star status in Tamil Nadu, this donation from Ajith has earned him high respect from the people. Similarly, Ajith’s fans have also been sharing this good news on social media and the internet is abuzz about it. Let us hope more actors come forward and help the needy in this crisis situation. On the work front, Ajith’s next film would be the action thriller, Valimai, directed by H Vinoth and produced by Boney Kapoor.
