As we all know, the theatres have been shut down due to the lockdown and Coronavirus scare. Theatres are going to be one of the last industries to get back to normalcy and experts have opined that challenging times are ahead for the theatre exhibitors. Thalapathy Vijay's Master will be one of the first films to release and bring back the audience to the theatres and if current reports are to be believed, Master might release for this year's Diwali (not confirmed).
On the other hand, Chiyaan Vikram's Cobra is also one of the most expected films of this year and during a recent live interaction with the film's director Ajay Gnanamuthu, we asked if Cobra will clash with Master and release for Diwali. Ajay said, "No, definitely Cobra will not clash with Master. It's the same producer (Cobra producer, Lalit Kumar is Master's Co-Producer) and so obviously both the films won’t release on the same day. Also I don't think Cobra will release for Diwali.
Nothing can be surely told as of now. We have 35-40% of shoot still left to be completed and we need to finish the remaining Russia portions as well. The film involves quite a lot of VFX and the post production works demand some time. I'm not getting into the release plans as of now. We need to come out of this panic situation first, then finish the remaining portions and only by then, we can get a clear idea." Check out the video below:
