Leading Tamil actress Aishwarya Rajesh's latest release, Thittam Irandu, has received a good response from fans, with her performance once again fetching her and the film largely positive reviews. The Kalaimamani Award-winning actress' next, Boomika, a horror thriller, is a landmark venture for her as it is her 25th film in her career and will get a direct-to-television premiere on Vijay TV on August 22 at 3PM. Billed to be an ecological thriller, Rathindran R Prasad of Navarasa fame has directed Boomika, with a spine-chilling trailer being officially released on Sunday. Incidentally, Boomika is the second continuous big film for Aishwarya Rajesh to be skipping a theatrical release after Thittam Irandu premiered on the SonyLIV OTT platform last month.
Aishwarya Rajesh's Boomika trailer shows unexplainable incidents surrounding an abandoned bungalow-like property and how several people are found dead at the place. We see the plot teased in the Boomika trailer to be revolving around a young boy named Siddhu and how Aishwarya Rajesh is pulled into the mysterious occurrences and the battle that ensues after she goes after looking at the cause of the indescribable events.
Boomika is Rathindran R Prasad's film directorial debut after his Inmai segment in Mani Ratnam's anthology Navarasa, which had Siddharth and Parvathy Thiruvothu in the lead roles. Produced by Karthik Subbaraj's Stone Bench Films in association with Passion Studios, Boomika has Aishwarya Rajesh sharing screen space with Vidhu, Pavel Navageethan, Madhuri, Surya Ganapathy, Ayaan Abhishek, Avantika Vandanapu among others, with music by Prithvi Chandrasekhar, cinematography by Roberto Zazzara, followed by editing by Anand Geraldin, while R Mohan is the art director and Don Ashok has handled the stunt sequences.
