Dhruv Vikram made his silverscreen debut with Adithya Varma (Tamil remake of Vijay Deverakonda's Arjun Reddy) which was directed by debutant Gireesaaya. Dhruv's performance in the film earned highly positive reviews and it also fetched him a lot of awards and positive words of encouragement from the fans. Adithya Varma featured Banita Sandhu and Priya Anand as the female leads and had music scored by Radhan. The film was produced by Mukesh Ratilal Mehta, along with AV Anoop and CV Sarathi, under the banner of E4 Entertainment.
Apart from Adithya Varma, E4 Entertainment has also produced a lot of notable biggies in Malayalam cinema with leading star heroes. Their notable films in Mollywood include Prithviraj Sukumaran's Ezra, Tovino Thomas' Godha, Soubin Shahir's Ambili, Jayasurya's Anveshanam, Oru Muthassi Gadha, etc. Following that, it has now been revealed that E4 Entertainment will be venturing into the digital space with a Tamil web series. This new web series will be based on the book Veerappan: Chasing the Brigand (life events of Veerappan) written by IPS Vijay Kumar. An official statement from Mukesh Ratilal Mehta's company reads, "E4 Entertainment, a production house based out of Chennai, has acquired the copyright of the book Chasing the Brigand written by IPS Vijay Kumar for making a feature film or web series. Any web series or feature film replicating the book, it's episodes in part of as whole or any characters in the book or their mannerisms as depicted in the book is liable for damages and legal action for copyright infringement.
E4 Entertainment was to start the web series immediately on lifting of the lockdown and restrictions on outdoor shooting is lifted. The detailing in the book about STF operations, characters including STF chielf Mr Vijay Kumar IPS and many in the police force, their characteristics and stories, STF operations and other detailings as told in the book comes under copyright and anyone violating the copyright will be liable for legal action and damages."
Details regarding the cast, director and crew of this web series is yet to be known and more announcements are expected in the coming days. Considering the web series to be based on Veerappan's life story, one can be sure that it will be riveting and intriguing. It will also have a good reach among the masses.
