Netflix has become one of the most subscribed websites in recent years with its content in the form of films and web series shows catering to diverse genres and different age groups. The media-services provider and production company has garnered a huge subscriber base in India as well and the response to the recently-released show, She, is testimony. Written and directed by Love Aaj Kal director Imtiaz Ali, She stars Aaditi Pohankar and Gully Boy fame Vijay Varma in the lead roles.
A crime thriller, She has Aaditi Pohankar playing the role of Bhumika Pardesi, a senior constable at the Reay Road Police in Mumbai with Vijay Varma as a big-time thief followed by Vishwas Kini, Dhruv Thukral, Sandeep Sridhar Dhabale among others in supporting roles. The show, which began streaming yesterday (March 20), had an action-packed and raunchy trailer released not long back, which received a positive response with many expressing instant interest to watch.
With the show already streaming, Netflix has now released an extended sneak peek for She featuring footage of the first 10 minutes which also includes the introduction of Aaditi Pohankar and Vijay Varma's characters. The official synopsis for She is as follows: “An undercover assignment to expose a drug ring becomes a timid Mumbai constable's road to empowerment as she realizes her dormant sexuality's potential.”
