Kannada filmmaker Prashanth Neel's next big film, Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, starring Telugu superstar Prabhas, is all set to take over cinema screens worldwide starting December 22, and the excitement for the upcoming epic action thriller is as big as it gets. The highly-anticipated Telugu film sees Prabhas sharing screen space with Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Bobby Simha, Tinnu Anand, Easwari Rao, Sriya Reddy, John Vijay, among others, and is also releasing in Tamil, Kannada, Hindi, and Malayalam languages. With Salaar the talk of the town, director Prashanth Neel, who became one of the biggest names in Indian cinema with his KGF films, has now opened up about his plans for K.G.F: Chapter 3 during an exclusive interview with National Award-winning film critic Baradwaj Rangan, the Editor-in-Chief of Galatta Plus.
Prashanth Neel, whose K.G.F: Chapter 1 with Kannada superstar 'Rocking Star' Yash was released on December 21, 2018, explained, "The only thing I can tell you is that we just didn't put KGF 3 at the end of KGF 2. I think we want to take a break. We wanted to take a break and do something else apart from KGF because we've been with it for eight years and I'm very happy that I moved over and I'm telling another story now. And, Yash is very happy doing his next movie. We'll definitely do KGF because... I mean it is easy money. KGF 3, like, I always talk about money, it is very easy money. It has to come at a time when we are excited to make that movie again. It's not like we want to make it because we want to make that much of money. I think we're capable of making... I think I'm capable of making money through other movies and I just need that excitement of doing another story. And, of course, we're excited to do KGF 3. We just wanted to take a break. I don't think I have a date for that. That's a call that Vijay Kiragandur and Yash will take at some point and we'll definitely make it."
