In a shocking turn of events, it has been learnt that budding director AV Arun Prasath (credited as Venkat Pakkar) passed away this morning (May 15) after meeting with a tragic accident in Coimbatore. According to the reports, it is said that Arun Prasath, who was driving his bike, got crashed into a lorry and lost his life. Arun Prasath was a former associate of director Shankar who has worked in films like I, etc. Arun was supposed to make his debut as a filmmaker with 4G, an upcoming romantic fantasy drama, starring G.V.Prakash Kumar in the lead role.
4G, which got officially announced towards the end of 2016, was waiting for the right time to release. The film was bankrolled by C.V.Kumar under his banner of Thirukumaran Entertainments. It is very unfortunate that Arun Prasath/Venkat Pakkar will not be there to witness the release of his debut directorial and it is indeed heartbreaking. This news has taken the entire film industry by shock and Tamil cinema has lost an upcoming talent.
At this untimely juncture, we at Galatta Media express our deepest condolences to Arun Prasath’s family and pray for the departed soul to rest in peace. Popular art director Muthuraj T and many others associated with director Shankar confirmed the news by sharing their condolence message on their social media profiles. An unfortunate death indeed!
