It looks like Dhanush just doesn't know the words - break or rest! He has been working non-stop and after three releases in 2019, has already announced a huge line-up of movies for 2020! Recently, he finished shooting for his #D40 with director Karthik Subbaraj and almost immediately began working on his next - Karnan, with director Mari Selvaraj! It was recently announced that Dhanush's next Bollywood movie would be with his Raanjhanaa director Aanand L Rai, titled Atrangi Re. Dhanush would be coming together with Akshay Kumar and Sara Ali Khan for the first time, in this movie!

The latest update about Atrangi Re is that Dhanush and Sara Ali Khan would be kick-starting the shoot for this movie, by March of this year! This movie is being planned for release on Valentine's Day, for 2021! Director Aanand L Rai has revealed that the shoot would be taking place in locations in & around Bihar and Madurai. Akshay Kumar will be joining the Atrangi Re unit towards the middle of April. Though there were speculations that Akshay was just playing a cameo in this movie, the director has revealed that it would not be a cameo but a very special character which is highly important to the movie's narrative!

Talking about Atrangi Re, director Aanand L Rai has revealed to the media that the title means 'funnily weird' and that he decided on the casting with this in mind. He states that he wanted a cast that would raise questions and that all his characters are funnily weird and the movie would be based on their emotional journey. Akshay Kumar had earlier revealed to the media that he agreed to Atrangi Re, within 10 minutes of listening to the narration from the director. He has added that the role is quite a challenging one and his heart just couldn't say no to it! Stay tuned for further updates...
