The engagement was a simple and intimate ceremony, which saw Ashwin looking dashing in sky sky-blue shirt and black trousers, while Gayatri was elegant in a violet-blue and red saree, and complemented her look with jewelry.
On the work front, Ashwin Karthik has gained an audience of his own for playing Rajapandi in Vanathai Pola on Sun TV, which has been telecast for more than 800 episodes and enjoys strong TRP ratings. He started his career in the Tamil television industry appearing in a supporting role on the hit Vijay TV serial Aranmanai Kili, which was broadcast for nearly three years before being stopped due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
