The much-awaited 'Jalali' song from filmmaker Aishwarya Rajinikanth's next big film, Lal Salaam, has been released and gives viewers a new glimpse of 'Superstar' Rajinikanth as Moideen bhai. The upcoming film featuring songs and a background score composed by Academy Award-winning music director A. R. Rahman has had two tracks released already - 'Ther Thiruvizha' and 'Ae Pulla' - to a largely positive response. The 'Jalali' song was released shortly after the Lal Salaam audio launch ceremony held in Chennai on Friday evening, January 26, which witnessed the lead stars in attendance to talk about the film and their experiences.
'Jalali' in Lal Salaam has been sung by A. R. Rahman and Sarath Santosh and is featured extensively on Rajinikanth playing Moideen bhai after the song was first teased in a special glimpse on the iconic Tamil actor's birthday last December. The song has lyrics penned by Mashook Rahman and A. R. Rahman and had received a positive feedback after being featured in the Lal Salaam Moideen bhai glimpse, with the lyric video also showing new visuals of Rajinikanth in the film, which will open in cinemas worldwide on February 9.
'Superstar' Rajinikanth will be seen making a special appearance as Moideen bhai in Lal Salaam alongside Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth, who are playing the lead roles as aspiring cricketers in the film. The sport-based drama also has 1983 World Cup-winning captain and legendary Indian cricketer Kapil Dev making a cameo appearance. The buzz surrounding Lal Salaam is massive as it is Aishwarya Rajinikanth's big comeback to filmmaking after 3 (2012), Vai Raja Vai (2015), and the documentary Cinema Veeran (2017), and also marks the first time Rajinikanth is appearing in a film directed by her after previously headlining his younger daughter Soundarya's directorial, Kochadaiiyaan (2014).
