The highly anticipated audio release of Vijay starrer Puli was held yesterday at ECR in Chennai. In addition to the cast and crew of the film, the event was graced by many celebrities including K. S. Ravikumar, S. J. Suryah, T.. Rajender and many others. The album which has five songs composed by Devi Sri Prasad with the lyrics of Vairamuthu was unveiled yesterday. The album has songs crooned by Javed Ali, Pooja A. V, Shankar Mahadevan, Sooraj Santhosh, Priyadarshini, Tipu, Vijay and Shruti Haasan.

Despite being one of the biggest celebrities of Kollywood, Vijay was patiently waiting near the entrance for about two hours inviting all the guests. On addressing the gathering, Vijay said that he suffered a lot of embarrassment before he tasted victory. He also added that he had learnt a lot from failures and the reason behind his success is a lot of insults. STR's father and veteran actor director T. Rajender thrilled the crowd as usual with his powerful speech. In fact, Vijay went to the extent of hugging TR for his pumped-up speech, for which he got a standing ovation. Meanwhile S. J. Suryah said that the title Puli suits only for Vijay, as he is a Puli in many aspects. He added that after Rajinikanth, Vijay is the only actor who carries himself with so much simplicity. The director of the film Chimbudevan assured the audience that Puli will be an entertaining surprise package of action and fantasy. The Puli heroines, Sruthi Haasan and Hansika Motwani looked stunning in their traditional attire while Vijay was in casual wear. With so much star-appeal and fireworks, it's no wonder the Puli audio launch topped the trends on micro blogging sites such as Twitter and Facebook yesterday.
