Producers council has announced a strike from 27th of July, to fight against the increase in wage of the Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI) employees. The demand of the strike is to cut down the wage of the employees as it has increased at an alarming rate which is not affordable to the small budget film producers. Reportedly, the daily wage of a worker has increased to a sum of rupees 1000 from rupees 400. This producer's strike would also lead to the cancellation of all film shoots for an indefinite number of days.
